My name is Karla Sanchez. In 1999, I got stabbed. I was only 11 years old that day. It was the worst day of my life. As time went by, I had to re-learn how to value my life. My disability has been a challenge and I have to fight every day, but I am able accept myself for who I am and I don’t let anyone or anything stop me from doing what I like. Going through what I’ve gone through has helped me to encourage other people to be independent as much as they can, and I am very thankful to Rancho for supporting me and others in my situation in overcoming our disabilities both mentally and emotionally by offering all the rehabilitation services, including this photography class.
