ABOUT US
History and Mission
Rancho Research Institute (RRI) was founded on the principles of research, education, innovation, and excellence, which continue to guide our work today.

Our mission is to conduct innovative research and education to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. We strive to be a world-class leader in clinical research, with a vision of transforming disabilities into abilities.

Since 1956, RRI has been a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that administers medical research and educational programs at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center (Rancho). Rancho is a world-renowned public hospital that
offers high-quality, comprehensive care for people with disabilities and is recognized as a leader in neuro-rehabilitation research.

Through RRI, Rancho can attract and retain clinicians with intellectual curiosity who are committed to discovering and implementing state-of-the-art clinical practices. This partnership also provides all Rancho patients with access to cutting-edge treatments and technologies, enabling our clinicians to focus on their patients' complete well-being. One such clinician who exemplified this commitment was the late Dr. Jacquelin Perry. Learn more about Dr. Perry.

At RRI, we work with integrity and compassion, alongside our university affiliates, to serve the people in our community. Our research aims to provide new discoveries for professionals and patients, and to create positive outcomes for all people with disabilities.
