Susan Shaw

Dr. Susan Shaw is the Associate Chief Medical Officer at Rancho Los Amigos, as well as Vice Chair of Neurology and Medical Director of the Epilepsy Center at Rancho. She is also Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Southern California. Her scientific interests center around neurorehabilitation and neurorestoration. She spearheads clinical and research programs utilizing robot-assisted therapy for neurological restoration. She also developed the POWER program, an innovative epilepsy rehabilitation program focused on reducing disability and improving quality of life in people with epilepsy. Dr. Shaw is currently engaged in research projects utilizing robot-assisted therapy for post-hemispherectomy patients, rehabilitation technologies and pharmaceuticals for stroke rehabilitation, brain-computer interface studies, and mood and neuropsychological outcomes in epilepsy.
